I’m proud of you for going to school/work

I’m proud of you for talking to someone

Im proud of you for going to the supermarket

I’m proud of you for eating

I’m proud of you for not hurting yourself

I’m proud of you even if you didn’t do any of these things

life can be really tough and sometimes the things that we’re expected to do everyday can feel impossible. sometimes we can push ourselves and do them, sometimes we can’t. and that’s okay. I’m proud of you for staying alive.

To all my Canadian followers who have Thanksgiving coming up this weekend. I see you, I feel you. But remember:

  • One meal/day won’t destroy all your progress
  • It’s okay to enjoy yourself with loved ones
  • You are no better/worse for what you do/don’t eat this holiday
  • I know how hard it is when holidays are food focused
  • Turkey is fairly low calorie, let yourself enjoy it
  • If you break any rules to enjoy yourself or please your family, you are not a failure.
  • You are never a failure, you are strong, you are brave, and I love you all.
  • Everything will be okay and I am always here to talk. 💖💖

a piece of advice my dad gave me and I’ve never forgotten is, “if you won’t worry about it in 4 months, don’t worry about it now.” saved me countless times, it’s a philosophy to adopt and help improve your life. Failed a test? ask yourself if you’ll think about this still in 4 months? Made a fool of yourself in public? I doubt even the people who saw it will remember it past today. Know you could have done better? Ran further? don’t beat yourself up over it, you can do better tomorrow. Don’t overthink things, a lot of negatives matter less than you think they do.
